Trick or tweet October 31, 2009
Well, to me, Hallowe'en is another day that's equivalent to thanksgiving - it has little to do with Chinese. Notwithstanding this, it's still a time for fun, so, HH.
Meanwhile, thx Karen for finally sending me what I need. We can confirm everything for Apollonian tmr.
Freedom October 25, 2009
If you ask me when my last free weekend was, I'd say, July. For the past three months I've been designing The Apollonian, refining every detail, and more importantly, getting rid of anything that doesn't need to be there. As I've said yesterday, a large part of the work is done, so I guess I can take a rest.
It's Sunday today, and I feel really good that I could sleep early on Sat night, waking up late today. I mean, that's life. Anyway after Monday's Chung Yeung holiday, a non-human life will come back.
The Apollonian 2009, iPhone, more October 24, 2009
I've said this for multiple times - the reason that I don't update my blog is primarily related to The Apollonian. Well, I'm happy to announce that I've finally finished typesetting everything! And my life finally comes back, which is great.
Talking about life, iPhone has become an important part of my life. You don't know that until one day your iPhone drops into a bowl of 沙嗲牛肉麵, still functional, but somehow turning on and off itself, and all of a sudden you go back to prehistoric age - you get a Samsung phone from your sister as a temporary measure, only to find that it does not sync with iSync! And because it's just nonsense to keep a paperback address book these days, you try to remain hi-tech by syncing your contacts and calendar into your iPod nano (I repeat, it's nano, not the touch..) and if you want to call someone on the street you need to look up the number from iPod first and then dial the number... I have another example: why should someone still have to press 3-444-88-#-66-33-444 for "diu nei"? Well, for those who still does, no offence - I just want to point out what modern days should be.
Fortunately, mum has agreed to subsidize me for a new iPhone, and while I'm waiting for the new stock to come to 3, I tried to "repair" my iPhone, and now it's somehow working.. What am I supposed to do then? Should I get a 3GS? Or should I wait until June next year for an iPhone 4th gen? Or should I use the money and get a new mac then..
Yep, I've always wanted to buy a new mac ever since the aluminium model has rolled out. But because my white book is working properly, and still fast (although it somehow lags when running the animations in snow leopard..). But it's just strange when I see some freshmen get a MBP, while I still hold the old model..
Anyway I know today's post's been kinda anti-social, so just let me finish my last words - now that my original iPhone is working less trouble, I'm keeping it and reimmersing myself into a new life without heavy Apollon work any more, and one with an iPhone with me.
Btw, it's going to be really Cher starting next week. It's good that works for The Apollonian has, to a large extent, been finished. And then I can study some books.
Magic Mouse October 20, 2009
So, the only reason for me not updating my site is my work for Apollonian. How's it? It's tragic. It has devastated my BDS III life, which I don't find enjoyable at all..
Anyway I met Thomas tonight, and we had Shanghai food, which was great.
The most exciting thing of late is definitely that Apple has updated its product line once again, which includes a new mouse, namely the Magic Mouse. Given its perfectness, I have no choice but put that at a sacred position - at our theme pix's space. And please allow me to put more of them below:
Should there be a Hong Kong Day, it ought to be on August 29, when British's sovereignty over Hong Kong began in 1842, signifying the later implementation of the core values of Hong Kong: independence of judiciary, capitalism, and freedom. What about China's national day? Well, what are the core values of the Chinese? If there's none, why would we need a national day?
HMA October 3, 2009
Well, you guys should know how passionate I am when it comes to using acronyms. So, in short, HMA stands for "happy mid-autumn". Yes, it's a bit too late, but I hope you guys can still get my greetings.
So, on mid-autumn, I went to the beach. Playing with candles, glowsticks, chatting, ... These are all the MA usuals, but it's been enjoyable.
October's going to be a busy month. Hopefully with apollon finished soon, I can finally read more.
3 - a piece of shit October 1, 2009
Well, two days ago I sent an email to 3:
Hi, I notice that you've recently made some changes to your web site, including the login method for user bill information. I'm deeply disappointed at those changes.
I'm a Mac user, so I don't have Microsoft Internet Explorer. But your web page requires that users use IE to login! In the past, the same was stated, but I could still use the Mac version of Firefox to login. Now I have no way but use a Windows PC to login, which is inconvenient for me and unreasonable at all. I suppose the intention for making a new web site is for making things easier; instead you've made the whole thing very complicated for me, and for ALL Mac users. In HK, and worldwide, the Mac's market growth has been increasing. I demand that your web site includes support for Mac in no time.
Thank you.
