五區公投與政改之問答 FAQ November 29, 2009
I seldom talk about politics in my blog. The reason is that I don't have enough audience understanding or even interested in politics. But in light of the predicament our society is facing, I hope an adapted article can give some new thoughts to my audience, and change their minds. This is the second part of my adapting-article series to let my readers know more about the referendum proposal.

Yes, I believe text, especially that from newspaper, shapes a person's political stance. I read a very pro-democratic newspaper, and I know some of you read more "neutral" newspapers. It's not that easy to alter one's thought that has stood for years. But I hope this blog article sow the seeds - the democratic seeds.
Coming up tmr: 五區公投與政改之問答 FAQSunday November 22, 2009
Most of you should have noticed that the previous entry was published a few days late. Well, I wrote that on my iPhone, but then forgot to upload that to this site.. This reminds me of the urgent need to modernize my site: had my site been a real blog using wordpress' scripts, we'd have RSS, user comments, fast search, and easy update. I think they've even developed some iPhone app to let you update the blog directly from the iPhone. Well, with all those pros, why is anzyme.com not adopting this technology sooner? Well, for one, exam will come in just a bit more than one month, two, that change is long overdue, so why should we rush?
The use of "Sunday" as today's theme suggests that there's nothing in particular that I'd like to talk abt. But perhaps there's one:
Well, it was 25C a few days ago, and then it dropped to 15C ytd, and 10C this morning. Is there supposed to be any transition? In this year's case, I don't see any.
So, as I've said, it's fxxking cold this morning. I managed to get to PP early for breakfast though. And then it's another boring RPD session, and then the exciting moment came. It was a short Apollonian meeting.. Well, most of the time they're tragic. Anyway I'm so grateful that many gentlemen helped during the 2nd round of taking-hundreds-of-books-to-the-post-office session. Now the hardest part is done, and I hope that the rest of our work will be as smooth as what we've already experienced.
How many of you read the printed version of Apollon seriously? Well, to be honest, I don't - I've read far too many times. Reading every single word of it is not what I expect from all of you (except if you're an Apollon member), what I hope is that when you hold a copy in hand, you'll appreciate the lack of unnecessary details, find the layout very readable, and, well, perhaps say to yourself: the design is not bad.
Another stuff I'm handling is hall handbook. Well, given that not many people pay attention to that, I'll follow suit. In other words, I wasn't responsible for most of the parts, so don't come to me if you find the design sucks.
Extraction November 9, 2009
How's my first extraction? Well, it's not bad. My patient gets a problematic tooth that's not too hard to extract, while still require some technique. So overall, my first extraction ever is a success.
Remember the little street at Sheung Wan that I tried to get the aluminium plate for F.5 grad photo's photo frame from? I was there once again today, because I have something that needs to be urgently printed, so urgent that it's not possible to print at E-Print. I asked some small printing shops along Jervois Street, which gave me some friendly and humane answer. Problem solved.
To know more about our extraction, read a blog entry written by Ronald, which illustrates what happened at their session.
戴上特製的手術用手套,給病人注射過麻醉劑後,Dr. Chan開始下達指示:「Well...You start from the deepest part of the topic!」
Expectation, disappointment and satisfaction November 7, 2009
I have become emotionally less stable these days. There have been sayings, that the smarter a person is, the lower EQ he/she has. Well, this may not be always true, as I've seen too many contraries in real life. But as for my case..
Perhaps I'm not the only one to blame. I've suffered a lot these days, and if I have to go through something even worse, I'm not sure if I have the strength to deal with that. Anyway, the dark has gone and I'm good now.

Enough said. So, what's my agenda today? Nothing special, waking up, hea-ing, returning to Tai Po, tutoring, home and hea-ing again. But having a free day after a whole demanding week makes me feel good.
"Twitter is killing my blog.." "i also notice i can't write in paragraphs anymore" - said tweeted Eugene.
Well, that's sad, because I've always thought blogging has dramatically improved my writing since I blogged in 2003, and I think for all those who blog (in paragraphs), the same hypothesis applies. No, contrary to many teachers' and linguisticians' theory, blogging does not always weaken our writing. But with the prevalence of Twitter, I think it's real time to worry.
Other quotes for the past few days:

I've had an extremely productive morning. I woke up at 7:20, arrived at PP for breakfast at 8:20, met exco's fin sec at 8:50 and got a cheque of HKD 25000, ready to go to E-print and pay.
That's not the right moment though, because I had a sleeping accident last Wed which means I didn't resurvey my master cast in Sim Lab. So I went to Dent Tech's lab at 9 to do the work, and handed the cast to my technician at 9:30.
That wasn't all though. Having resurveyed my master cast, I moved to resurveying apollon's cover. All of a sudden, crap. I found the white cover didn't look charming at all. I tried to make some changes, which include reconsidering adapting the black cover, adding more glamour to the black cover, etc.. It's not it didn't work, it's that I lost confidence in my sense, and my taste. Knowing that I had to make up my mind soon, I turned to someone of my species. Thanks Eugene, your opinion is what I need.
So, that's it. I took the last modifications to E-Print, paid, and left. And what's the perfect conclusion to three months of intensive creative work? A great cup of coffee will do.
Merry Christmas!
