First real restoration ever
February 26, 2009

Well, I've restored a lot of computers, Mac and PC. But I did my first ever restoration on a real person today. I had some difficulties placing the rubber dam (trust me, you could have done even worse on that tooth); otherwise everything was fine. And this time, I did the burnishing so well that no polishing was needed. So am I transforming from Polishing の達人 to Burnishing の達人? Btw, I'm especially impressed with my injections this time. It's not so hard, is it?

And then I have a few points about Safari 4 to clarify. After I've test-driving it, I found it a very pleasant experience due to its speed and, well, its neatness. The tabs-on-top are intended to give an even cleaner view of the software. It does create some inconvenience, but I've decided to try it for some time before I decide if I should let it go. What? How to let it go? Well, I found this site, which gives some guidelines on how to fine tune the new safari, including disabling tabs on top, bringing the blue loading bar back, and disabling coverflow during history search to make way for porn. You guys should really give Safari 4 a try, whether you use the Mac or PC version. It's really fast.

Finally, I've another comic to share. It was posted there for some time, but when you read it again now, it makes every sense, is it?

Safari 4
February 24, 2009

Apple released its Safari 4 public beta for Mac and PC today. I can just say it's nothing but shit.

1) Why would I want to locate the tab on the top of the window? The problem with tabs on the top is that your cursor, when it is browsing a web page but you suddenly want to switch to another tab, needs to travel a longer distance in order to go to the top. Yes, it gives a clearer view, let you know which tab you're in, but I see no problem with the current system. Only dumb ass can't see the normal tabs.

2) Coverflow when browsing bookmarks, searching history, etc. What happens when you're showing this brand new feature to your friends, but forgot to clear history after/turn on private mode while browsing sth very personal (e.g. porn)?

3) There's no third. No, apple softwares always impress me. Safari 4 beta just presents with the above two problems to me. Hopefully they'll get it improved in the final release.

More sleep
February 22, 2009

Being able to get enough sleep is one of the best thing in life. Perhaps I've exerted too much of my energy in F.7, I really just can't survive another night without sleeping. Unfortunately that's what I've done for the past two Friday nights. Last last Friday I sit the hall campaign, and I cherred the hall handbook last Friday. It's not going to be perfect though, as Kaspar has mentioned some problem with the margin : ( But I hope things will be good enough..

I got enough sleep today though. I woke up at 1 today, and did something meaningful in the afternoon. It's going to be one of the last time I do that, but trust me, I promise I'll always do more on demand, just as a return of your enormous love for me.

The next week is going to be tough with all sorts of things to do. Prey for me.

I just love this song so much.

Beauty
February 15, 2009

What is beauty? Well, perhaps this entry gives some suggestions:

Count it. There're not just one, but three.

Hmm, this is not bad.

Finally (wireless) mickey mouse finds his cheese.

These are not bad either.

I'm pretty sure soon it'll become the most sought-after
items in our class. (and soon it will not be)

Btw, spreading all photos across the whole page is a good way of avoid blogging so frequently, isn't it?

One more thing. I have to thank my friends for spending Vday with me. It's been fun having you guys around.

Not at all
February 9, 2009

My last update said things were getting back to normal. But base on my disappearance for 8 days, you should know that things have been far from normal. In fact, it's been dramatic. Things are fine now, but life is just not so perfect.

Apollonian has finally come to work now, and we're getting increasingly busy. In fact, despite that I'm technically less busy now, I still don't have enough time. How am I supposed to increase my efficiency? Perhaps I should really blog less.

PS The no. of visits from Jan 4 to Feb 8 is (39484-38759) 725, or on average 20.1 visits daily. For the first time in months this figure is beyond 20. Hurrah!
