The round corner returns April 30, 2008 From generation to generation, a menu-bar on top plus round corners have been a special character of Mac OS. It's one of the things that makes a Mac different, and it's the kind of thing that could not be imitated by windows even if tens of thousands of windows users try to put their Start menu bar on the top of the screen. Starting from Leopard, though, things have changed. The round corners were gone. What is Steve thinking? To me, the retirement of round corners is one of the worse business decisions made by Apple. Luckily, it has returned. Not from Apple, but from a third party software called Displaperture. Thx for telling me, someone from neowin.net. Meanwhile, as I returned to hall this evening, I attended the meeting for room arrangement. I finally decided to share a double room with a new roommate - William, instead of opting for a single room. Perhaps I'd save that privilege for next year.. 
Good luck cannot be shown off April 27, 2008 Good luck cannot be shown off. The consequence does not necessarily have to be bad luck though. You could create unhappiness for yourself. I've been in deep frustration over my weekend, and I've still not fully recovered/self-healed yet. I keep thinking about my stupid exam schedule and post-exam sessions these days. Have I told you that my exam finishes on 20th, JUNE. And then we're going to have a three-week clinical period afterwards. I don't give a damn on what it's going to cover.. I just simply don't like the fact that my summer holiday will start later than my P5 cousin's!! And then when my exam finally finishes, who's going to spend time with me? Will my trip to TW spoil just like last year's? Well, it's a 2-person problem, so who fucking knows? Given my bad mood, I should hardly continue. But I choose to do so because the following should be yesterday's content. Now that my mood is at least better than yesterday's, I think I should repay what I owed u. Well, there's a new version of Smultron, a popular html editor for Mac, and it looks quite good because it matches leopard's style. I thought u should know.. Another thing is that I've updated the theme pix, so I think we should keep a record of the old one. 
 PS Editplus is still the best html editor I've used, but then it's Windows-only = ( Showing off good luck April 25, 2008 I don't check my horoscope regularly. In fact, I even have no interest in that.. But I should have got 5 stars for at least three consecutive days, starting Wed.. On Wednesday, which was the day I started to temporarily disappear from this site, we had our last Ecen session. Yep, no more Ecen. Lisa brought us (or at least me) a good news - I got A- in my role play, and now I should get an overall A- for Ecen. Thx Lisa.. And then on Thursday, I found out I got 100 marks for the chinese assignment done on web ct. "How is this possible!?" Cto asked when I told her today. Anyway this doesn't show that I'm good in Chinese, nor will I get good grade for Cden because I just got a C for my first assignment.. Anyway on midnight Friday, I found that I was in the direct-in list for hall readmission. That means I won't need to be interviewed before being readmitted. Isn't that great? Thx exco, thx lsk.. I doubt my good luck will continue though. After all, I'm never a lucky person. I don't mind to be in bad luck sometimes, but leave some luck for me when I need it.  So much Japs today April 22, 2008 (The above image is adapted from Cto's xanga) Well, we had practical session today. However, the guy was so bad that four of us became the first ones to escape. (Please refer to the extract of Ronald's xanga below for details. He knew the best because he stayed till the last min~) However, we were no lazy students. Instead of going home, we went to medical library for some research. We decided that we could comprehend (even better) the whole thing without that guy's full-of-BS lecture.. After going to medical library, we went to CWB. We had lunch at 和民 (yes, that's the pix), we watched "Run PaPa Run", and we left. It's not a bad day.. I then met my friend. I kind of wanted to have sushi, so we went to Genki. Kwai Fong's Genki was in fact quite good. It worths my recommendation if U want to have cheap sushi.. And that makes another day-with-no-revision.
 Today's not bad April 21, 2008 Well, I managed to get up at 7.30 this morning despite staying awake until 4 last night. Today's T1 turned out to be not bad.. It's even quite interesting in that Lisa and Yvonne the English tutors came to observe our tutorial.. They seemed to be bored, but cmon, we've been bored for a whole year in Ecen lessons! It's time to pay. (jk...) We had curry for lunch, which was good. I went to Causeway Bay afterwards to buy some stuff before going back to hall. This consumed a protion of my free time today, but at least I got what I wanted. And then in the evening I went out again. I had to go to TST, and that's why I decided to take the ferry. I've become increasingly in love with the ferry nowadays.. It's somehow different. Anyway.. Let's be brief... April 20, 2008 ...because it's really quite late now, and that I'll have T1 at 9 tmr. I've just finished everything I need to do on 1/F. They include floor-tee order form, some work assigned by my aunt, hall farewell party decoration (idea only) as well as a final review on gingivitis. I feel quite good now because it's rare that I can finish all the objectives I've set for myself.. Congrats Kevin... Btw, do you know what yesterday's supposed to mean? It was our 6-month anniversary~ Get well soon... Uniform, Yum Cha, & more April 18, 2008 Well, I planned to do a bit more preparation for T2 this morning, but when I woke up at 10 am, I found that this was not possible. That's because we're attending a stupid session for uniform ordering. Instead of simply measuring our shoulder width, our arm length, our waist and leg, there were a lot more measurements. Like our chest, the circumference of the trousers, as well as the 褲浪 length.. Well, I know that's a standard procedure for professional tailoring, but cmon, are we really that professional? And would they, say, make a unique slim-cut uniform for a skinny girl with F-cup? We went to yum cha then. It was somehow fun. Perhaps that's because it's been our long time we haven't done that.. We didn't take any pix though. I think some time in the future we should take one for the things we had, one for all of us, and... Last but not least, I'd like to thank Cheuk, or Conroy, for securing my thumbdrive from the Ecen classroom. And thank God, I didn't put any videos in it XD Cden, Ecen April 16, 2008 Cden, Ecen... What are they? They're our dearest Chinese and English courses. If Ecen is the stupidest english course I've ever attended, Cden is the most ridiculous. Anyway they're finally coming to an end. We had our second last Cden tutorial this morning. Ronald et al. were there to introduce a new advertising campaign for Colgate. Their I then had my Ecen dentist-patient role play today. I guess I was not bad, especially when we know the fact that I was ill-prepared and depended only on my bullshitting skills. Let's see how I performed next week, when we have the very last Ecen session. (Ronald's going to miss Lisa so much, isn't it?) Btw, I fired my new student's parent, finally. It's only been half of a month, but it's like much longer.. I've evaluated myself, but then I decided that I have nothing to do with it. I really can't comply with the parent's demands. it's just not too kevinchan if I continued.. But now I've lost another source of money, so where does money come from? Macau maybe? But I don't have any company!! Fxxk it. Being busy is good, somehow April 14, 2008 I've told you, everything's fine today. I only feel boredom on my weekends, probably because my weekdays are too busy. Actually, I don't mind being busy and occupied; it keeps me away from loneliness. However, I'm okay only when I'm occupied by things I enjoy doing. Sometimes, I really hate what I'm supposed to do. "Happiness is not about doing something you enjoy, but being able to enjoy what you're doing." I read this somewhere I forgot, probably at someone's blog, and I find it very true. But there'd be no pain and sorrow in the world if everyone can do this. Sad, isn't it? Anyway I'm good today because I've finally started working on this week's problem. This is the fourth-last problem I'm supposed to have in year 1. Whether I like BDS's curriculum or not, I love Bio. And as I was reviewing my AL thermoregulation today, I rediscovered myself. Thx, Simon. Sunday, a boredom April 13, 2008 I don't mean my life is boring though. Other days are fine to me, but every Saturday and Sunday mean a repetitive life. Weekends after weekends, I spend my day at home. Sometimes I wake up so late that I merely have the time and mood for anything, sometimes I'm supposed to finish something on a Sunday, but then I just decide to postpone it. We really need excitement for our lives, all of us. Is it possible for me to go outside and enjoy the sun and fresh air? Ya, that sounds stupid, but it's a little wish of mine now. Perhaps I want to play games with the sun... So, would you please do something? Sigh... Perhaps you'll be interested to see this: Finally.. April 11, 2008 Sorry for disappearing for days.. I know you guys must be missing me a lot~ I swear I miss you too; otherwise I won't come back, right? The beginning of the past few days were tough, with the later part more enjoyable. Basically I was busy working on the my damn Chinese project from Sunday to Wed.. I merely had time to prepare T2 (on monday) and Ecen case study note. I just made the case up, but the outcome wasn't too bad. Chinese wasn't either. So basically I enjoyed my "weekend" from Wednesday afternoon to Thursday night. It's pretty like my ordinary weekends.. Fair? Well, I don't want to admit this. And then I had my first T1 on Friday. Things are really messed up these days..When can I reorganize my life?  3G iPhone coming? April 5, 2008 Do you like it as a 3G iPhone? Some rumour sites suggest this as the candidate. No one knows, but it'll likely be unveiled this summer. I don't like it very much, though. I mean, c'mon, the current model (i.e. mine) looks much smarter and high-tech and different, isn't it? Sunday tomorrow, and Monday the day after. It's going to be the first T2 on Monday. Will this ignite more sparks or will it mean a lower show-up rate? We'll see.. Cden project April 3, 2008 Trust me, this project sucks. There's a lot to do, and I'm still struggling to concentrate. Anyway I really hope to see it finish on time, so just let me concentrate, ok?
